Movie Verdict
“Love Mocktail,” a Kannada mega-hit film, may be familiar to moviegoers. Gurthunda Seetakalam is an official remake of this highly successful Kannada film. Some of the situations in the film will definitely evoke memories of our college relationships and early love affairs, but the general pace may make it appear a little boring. Our youth and college love stories have some humorous scenes that make us smile, but the second half loses the humour and becomes more sombre. Many devoted lovers are moved by the film’s dramatic conclusion.
When it comes to acting, we all recognise Satyadev’s talent. In this film, he strives to impress the audience with his dialogue delivery and comedic timing while appearing effortless. Tamannaah Bhatia is carefully selecting her characters these days. She gave her all to the role, which she played to the best of her ability in the film. Megha Akash has a stunning TV appearance but little acting experience. Kavya Shetty is less impressive than Ammu. Priyadarshi managed to elicit a few laughs. Every other actor effectively performed their scripted roles.
Gurthunda Seetakalam appears to be technically sound. The songs from Kaala Bhairava’s soundtrack are soulful, even if they can’t be played again after you’ve seen the film. Satya Hegde’s cinematography is adequate, and he captures some stunning landscapes from distant locations. Lakshmi Bhupala’s dialogue is excellently written and adds character to the scenes. Editing could have been improved.
Director Nagashekar stayed true to the original and avoided making too many changes to the plot in order to preserve the integrity of this heartwarming love story.
Gurthunda Seetakalam is a charming film that will undoubtedly evoke memories of past romantic relationships.
