Although it takes a while to get into the main story, the premise and tone capture you immediately and make you care about the ending. Once a bad power enters the scene and you see how her family tries to save her after she is struck in different sections of the city because of a lockdown, the narration becomes more interesting. The first part of the film was primarily comprised of emotional scenes as opposed to terrifying ones, giving it a distinct appearance for a horror film.
Even though there is no intermission, the intermission arrives with a fantastic twist, and then the movie becomes even more interesting as events unfold and keep you on the edge of your seat. The story has a number of flaws, but the central idea is resonant, and there are surprising twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. If you can tolerate the narration for 90 minutes, you will have a memorable experience.
Regarding the performances, the female diva Nayanthara performs a wonderful job as a single mother; her character was well-written and has a number of complexities, which she executed with ease. Anupam Kher, who portrays a spiritual pastor, gave his all, as did Satyaraj, who had less screen time. The remaining cast members likewise gave their all.
Connect possesses superior technologies. With his amazing visuals and colour palette, Manikantan Krishnamachary transports you to the realm of Connect and makes you feel as though you belong there. While the rest of the technical crew tried their best, Prithvi Chandrasekhar did an admirable job composing the background music.
Connect is also a fantastic story, and this time he portrayed human feelings during lockdown rather than horrifying components, although he still included his trademark plot twists. Connects lacks the spine-chilling moments of Mayuri and Game Over, but the director succeeds in evoking emotion in the viewers. Even though his novels have scary aspects, Ashwin Saravanan is constantly amazed by their originality, which he achieved via exceptional writing.
Overall, Connect is a film that everyone in the audience can appreciate and is required viewing for a unique experience.
