Movie Verdict

The central figures of Babli Bouncer’s first act, the villagers, are immediately captivating. We will laugh aloud and forget the passing of time during a few amusing scenes in the first half of the movie. The length of the film is a hindrance, though, as several protracted scenes are necessary to create the atmosphere and introduce us to the individuals. There are some hopeful moments in the second half of the movie, as well as the plot involving a female club bouncer, which seems intriguing. Unfortunately, the drama and more drawn-out passages cause the film’s quality to substantially drop around the halfway mark. We are left feeling reflective and moved by the movie’s conclusion.

The portrayal of Babli by Tamannaah Bhatia was excellent. While the actor occasionally comes out as forced, she truly excels in the most moving scenes and a select few other scenes. With the dialect she used, she even managed to perfectly capture the character’s speech rhythm. In every scene, Saurabh Shukla portrays the role superbly and naturally. While Shahil Vaid did a good job portraying Kukku, there wasn’t much humor to be seen. While Karan Singh does rather well in a few scenes, he still needs a lot of work before he can be taken seriously as Mannu. Each additional performer was up to the task and lent dimension to the narrative in their own particular manner.

The Babli Bouncer was expertly filmed and edited. Tanishk Bagchi and Karan Malhotra’s songs and music are serviceable. The color grading was excellently done by Himman Dhamija, and the ambiance of the village is breathtaking. Tighter editing may have improved the movie because running time can affect how viewers react. The production values are excellent, which is fitting given the topic being told.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar, who is renowned for his distinct style of storytelling and character characterization, made his mark on this movie. However, a few over-the-top and drawn-out situations make you question whether Madhur Bhandarkar was really in charge of this movie.

Overall, Babli Bouncer is a fun journey of a female bouncer because of its talented director and impressive ensemble cast. Hotstar is currently hosting this breathtaking drama for those who are interested in viewing it.
